A beginners mind is “having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner in that subject would.
Suzuki Roshi famously said, “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.”
Took a class in silk dying today so I can incorporate hand dyed silk into my felting. Soooo much fun!
This wall hanging was inspired by prehistoric pictographs. Hands of multiple colors reach for a spiral, the oldest know symbol. It helps consciousnesses accept the turning and changing of life.
This beautiful scarf is made with cotton batting (white areas) and silk laid over wool roving.
Wool on silk makes for a very luxurious scarf!
